VBDGU Second Chances Initiative

Because Everyone Deserves a
New Beginning

At Vaquero Bravo Don’t Give Up (VBDGU), we believe that no one should be defined by their past. The Second Chances Initiative is our commitment to helping individuals rebuild their lives through the transformative power of accountability, dignity, and hope. This program is designed for those who are ready to change—but just need the opportunity.

What We Do

The Second Chances Initiative empowers individuals to turn their lives around by partnering with core systems and applying restorative principles. Our program helps participants:

  • Engage with approved pathways to resolve life issues.

  • Access mentoring, counseling, and job readiness support.

  • Complete community service or alternative programs.

  • Work toward expungement or reduced penalties for qualified participants.

We work hand-in-hand with courts, community partners, and local agencies to offer an alternative to incarceration—focusing instead on rehabilitation, responsibility, and reintegration into society.

Why It Matters

The justice system should not just punish—it should heal. By applying the principles of equity, empathy, and legal fairness, we help individuals reclaim their future, support their families, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
